Lời giải Task 1:

Report:

The diagram compares the skeletons of two ancestors from which the human species is descended today.

Overall, two prominent differences may be noted: the skeleton on the right has a tall, narrow waist and larger hip, knee and ankle joints when compared with the skeleton on the left.

The head of Australopithecus is unbalanced with a short snout, while that of Homo erectus is balanced and has a longer snout.  The chest and waist of Homo erectus are taller and narrower than Australopithecus.

The arms and legs of the skeletons are very different.  Australopithecus, a tree climber, has longer forearms than Homo erectus.  Both species were capable of walking, though the Homo erectus skeleton illustrates that this species was able to run long distances. It has low, wide shoulders and large joints for the knee, hips and ankles.  The feet of Homo erectus are also better adapted for walking and running, with an enlarged heelbone, a stabilized foot arch and short toes.  In contrast,  Australopithecus has a small heelbone, a partial foot arch and long toes.
