Report Plan:

• Paraphrase paragraph: describe>illustrate;  change>development; now>the present
• Overview/summary paragraph: (1) there are more paths (2) the park now has a picnic area and playground
• Paragraph 3: report the changes to the path network, and the picnic area under the tree
• Paragraph 4: report the changes to the pond area and the replacement of the flowers by a playground and bushes

Essay Plan:

• Introduction: refer to the task question, mentioning fossil fuels and alternative energy.  My opinion: I think it is a very positive development
• Paragraph 2: the negative aspects of fossil fuel use – (1) health risks for humans through poor air quality (examples of major cities) (2) burning fossil fuels adds to the greenhouse effect and environmental problems
• Paragraph 3: the positive aspects of alternative energy – (1) human health – reduce problems of respiratory disorders  (2)  reduces habitat destruction and pollution
• Conclusion: investing in alternative energy sources will bring positive gains.
