Essay Plan:

  • Introduction:  refer to the statement.  My own opinion – it is a totally negative development
  • Paragraph 2:  ways in which money has entered sport  (1) wages of players – give examples (2) business investing in teams – give examples
  • Paragraph 3: negative impacts: (1) people have become spectators, not participants – sports heroes will no longer be local people (2) businesses want to be identified with success.  Sport is now about winning, not the pleasure of taking part.
  • Conclusion: these changes have had a wholly negative impact on sport.
