Report Plan:

• Paraphrase paragraph: maps>diagrams; show>illustrate; as it is now>current; reduce>lower; number of accidents>accident figures
• Overview/summary paragraph: (1) aim to improve safety at road junctions

(2) by introducing a roundabout and traffic lights

• Paragraph 3: report on the traffic lights near the school and the roundabout near the supermarket
• Paragraph 4: report on the removal of the access road to the supermarket from City Road.  Contrast the fact that there is no proposed change to the dangerous junction of Low Lane and Forest Road.

Essay Plan:

• Introduction: refer to the task question.  My opinion: totally agree
• Paragraph 2:  1^st argument: traditional roles are no longer appropriate in the modern family – contrast the extended family of the past.  Therefore,  now, it is only fair to share chores
• Paragraph 3: 2^nd argument:  people who go to work have to work hard, but things like washing machines, microwaves etc make household chores easier. So, it is easier to share the chores
• Conclusion:  totally agree that men and women should share all household chores, especially when household chores are made easier nowadays
