Report Plan:

• Paraphrase paragraph: gives information about>compares; salaries>wages; five employment sectors>employees in five different sectors
• Overview/summary paragraph: (1) Sales – the greatest difference between maximum and minimum salaries (2) average salaries were lowest in Education and Travel.
• Paragraph 3:  report and compare selected figures for Sales, Engineering and the IT&T sectors.
• Paragraph 4:  report and compare selected figures for Education and Travel

Essay Plan:

• Introduction: refer to the task question.  My opinion: agree that it is already too late to improve the situation
• Paragraph 2:  actions which are being taken to improve the situation – ban on chemical waste dumping, NGOs (e.g. Greenpeace), more alternative energy (e.g. wind farms)
• Paragraph 3:  the fight against climate change is already lost – sea levels will rise, more droughts, floods, climate disasters - billions of people will starve.  The oceans are polluted.
• Conclusion: I agree with the second view (paragraph 3), despite the positive actions (paragraph 2).
